Hi, I’m Ethan Schneider, the founder of Empowering Movement—a fitness coaching brand dedicated to helping you transform your body, build confidence, and live pain-free through personalized training, expert nutrition coaching, and real lifestyle change.

 

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Fitness and Wellness from Tennessee Tech University, plus multiple advanced certifications (NSCA-CPT, PPSC, and Precision Nutrition), I bring a science-backed and results-driven approach to fitness. I combine strength training, mobility work, and sustainable nutrition strategies to help you lose fat, build lean muscle, increase energy, and improve your quality of life.

 

I’ve worked with men and women from all walks of life—from beginners who feel lost in the gym to experienced athletes looking to break through performance plateaus. Whether you train with me online or in-person, every program is designed around your unique body, goals, lifestyle, and mindset. No cookie-cutter workouts. No crash diets. Just smart, proven methods tailored to you.

My Story

I wasn’t bullied growing up.
But I wasn’t the popular kid—
or even close.

I was the guy who kind of blended into the background. Quiet. Kept to himself. I wasn’t the one people picked first in gym class or invited out after school. I wasn’t excluded on purpose—I just wasn’t noticed much.

I didn’t wear hoodies to hide my body, but I did find comfort in dark clothes. Black shirts. Deep blues. Nothing flashy. I wasn’t trying to make a statement—I just wanted to feel safe, to blend in.

 

But deep down, I wanted more.

 

I wanted to feel strong.

 

I wanted to look in the mirror and like what I saw.

 

I wanted to walk into a room and feel confident—like I belonged there.

 

That quiet hunger led me to the gym.

 

At first, I had no clue what I was doing. I followed random workout plans I found online, tried every bro-split in the book, skipped leg day more times than I want to admit. But something clicked.

The gym gave me a sense of control.

 

Progress. Purpose. Confidence.

 

With every rep, I wasn’t just building muscle—I was building me.

 

When I got to college, life tested me. Hard.

 

My consistency slipped. My routine wavered. I felt lost again. But the gym was always there. Waiting. Steady. Like an anchor. Every time I walked back in, it reminded me who I was becoming—and why I started.

Somewhere in that storm, I realized:

 

This wasn’t just about me anymore.

Fitness had given me my confidence.
It helped me build muscle, burn fat, and reshape not just my body—but my identity.
And I knew—without a doubt—that I wanted to help other people do the same.

 

So I got certified.

 

I became a coach.

 

And I haven’t looked back since.

 

Now, helping others become the strongest, most confident version of themselves is what drives me every single day. Watching someone lose body fat, build muscle, and suddenly believe in themselves again? There’s nothing like it. Because I know exactly what that moment feels like. I’ve lived it.

Fitness gave me the life I was always looking for.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Fitness and Wellness from Tennessee Tech University. This evidence-based program gave me a strong foundation in anatomy, biomechanics, kinesiology, physiology, strength training, and wellness coaching. My education allows me to design highly effective, individualized fitness programs that prioritize long-term health, fat loss, muscle gain, and sustainable lifestyle change.

Certified Personal Trainer – NSCA-CPT (National Strength and Conditioning Association)

As a certified personal trainer through the NSCA (one of the most respected organizations in the fitness industry), I specialize in strength training, functional movement, and performance-based coaching. My approach is rooted in exercise science and tailored to help individuals of all experience levels reach their goals—whether that's building muscle, losing weight, or enhancing athletic performance.

Pain-Free Performance Specialist Certification (PPSC)

With my PPSC certification, I help clients train hard without pain. This advanced certification bridges physical therapy principles with performance training, equipping me to improve mobility, reduce injury risk, and create joint-friendly workout programs. I specialize in helping clients overcome nagging pain while still making serious progress in the gym.omplishments you achieved or milestones you reached during your education.

Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certified Coach (Pn1)

Nutrition is a core pillar of every transformation. As a certified Precision Nutrition Coach, I deliver practical, science-based nutrition coaching that fits your lifestyle.
